BIP publisher not working OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0 after changing OBIEE integration

TurbokatAug 14 2012 — edited Sep 24 2013
SSO was implemented with SSO-WNA using Kerberos Authentication.

Note followed is "OBIEE 11g: Configuring Authentication and SSO with Active Directory and Windows Native Authentication" [Doc ID 1274953.1]

But SSO was not working for BI Publisher. When contacted Oracle they suggested me to follow the bug below.

Bug 14066028 - BI PUBLISHER CANNOT CREATE SAW SESSION USING MSAD CUSTOM AUTHENTICATOR

When OBIEE uses SSO with MS Active Directory, BIP needs to use analytics-ws as endpoint instead of analyltics. But currently, BIP uses analyitcs as endpoint.

Solution
1. Change the OBIEE integration from end point analytics to analytics-ws in BIP Admin UI (Integration - Oracle BI Presentation Services).
2. Test.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I am unable to access BIP neither from OBIEE nor xmlpserver.

When trying to access BI Publisher through http://servername.domian.com:9704/xmlpserver

Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

When trying to access Administration>BI Publisher >Manager BI Publisher we are getting the following error.

Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i have tried changing the xmlp-server-config.xml in to analytics.ws and bounced the server , but still facing same issue.

Please help to get the BI Publisher back.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
