Bigfile Tablespace?

Hi ALL,

11g, 12c

OL6

I have not ever since used or created tablespace of "bigfile" type, wtih 128Tb? What is the purpose this so big tablespace?

Does this override the 32Gb size limit of OS, like linux ?
