BI Spreadsheet Addin - Restrict access to Cube
247275Mar 2 2009 — edited Mar 6 2009We are using Oracle BI Add-in for reporting. We can restrict what analytic workspace or measure folders are visible to user by GRANT OR REVOKE on analytic workspace.
GRANT SELECT ON AW$<WORKSPACE_NAME> TO <USERNAME>
Within the analytic workspace we have multiple cubes (mirror images in terms of structure) for facilitating 24/7 reporting by using one for load and other for reporting at any point of time. So e.g cubes CURR1, CURR2. During the build and reporting process via SQL reports we can switch the view dynamically to point to appropriate cube. (CURR1 OR CURR2).
Question is just like we can grant select or revoke on analytic workspace, can we grant select or revoke on an individual cube within a workspace programatically. This will help user to see measures only for the cube which is currently supposed to be active for reporting. So in this case can we grant select or revoke at a cube level via any programattic interface? Currently users sees 2 measures e.g. avg_amt from curr1 and avg_amt from curr2 and cannot really distinguish one versus other.
