BI Publisher integrated Excel Download Very slow

Hi,

I have integrated BI Publisher in my workspace and its working fine for PDF,XLS & RTF formats.

But if the volume of data is high for ( eg: 10000+ rows ) the export is very slow and sometimes I encounter page not found, while Denes Excel download method ( http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:108 ) is working in lightning fast for the same.

Is there any limitation in BI Publisher for the number or records that can be downloaded? How can I improve the perfomance
