Best way to print a report using the dot matrix printer

Hi all,
I've a requirement, where in i need to print the report using the dot matrix printer. Currently, We are generating the report in the pdf and then trying to print them. It is working fine when it is printed on laser printer. But, when it is printed on dot matrix printer, the output is getting distorted.(only lower half part is getting printed). I'm using the Reports 10g(10.1.2.0.2). can u suggest me which type is best suitable for this type of situations like (html or rtf etc)
