Best scanner driver for ODC

I'm working with oracle document capture.

After some researches I understand that ODC is more powerful than ODDC but it require additional layer (adrenaline or ISIS) and configuration. For example ODDC doesn't provide OCR and other features but it is useful just for scan and import within the browser.

Is this correct?

To use the adrenaline solution witch is the best release (VRS 4.2 basic / professional / elite)?
