Best method to upgrade primary and standby databases without rebuilding standby database - 11.2.0.4

Need to upgrade the 11g (11.2.0.4) database to to 12.2.0.1

Question : What is the best way to upgrade the primary and standby databases without rebuilding standby database once again.?

Exisitng environemtn :

Primary DB : 11.2.0.4

Standby DB : 11.2.0.4

Target upgraded 12C env

Primary DB : 12.2.0.1

Standby DB : 12.2.0.1
