Best method to migrate/relocate RAC DB from one server to another

Hi All,

We have a 11gr2- 3 node RAC DB on nodes , say, B1, B2, B3 that we want to move it to a new cluster, (servers C1, C2) having same version of clusterware and Oracle Home and OS

While I found 2 different approaches to do so like:

1. rman duplicate - while the Application is down

2. RMAN convert

I would like to know what is the best approach with minimal downtime.

I also thought of using RMAN DUPLICATE for standy by database, but since both clusters are in same domain, I can't have same DB name.

Your ideas and thoughts on it are much appreciated.
