Best free charting tool for swing applications

This might be most generic question.Still if any body experienced @home with some free charting API especially for swing based application. Let me know.
I am using jfree chart and seems for dynamic plotting and for large data it's not best. I made a research on jfree chart although for dynamic plotting,customised zooming etc. some work around can be made still it's difficult. The files are distributed so customizing for the need is difficult. There are other charting APIs which are good for database reporting or J2EE applications.
I do not use any data base.
