Beginning Solaris user book recommendations

807559Sep 9 2004 — edited Sep 10 2004
I know that this topic has probably been posted before... So my apologies.

I have been using Slackware Linux for the past few years and I recently purchased an old Sun Ultra 30 running Solaris 9 with 512MB of Memory, etc...

Up to this point; I can get around and move within Solaris without much issues. However; I feel that I need to get my hands on either a book or an online reference that can help me understand and learn the Solaris operating system so I can really utilize my purchase.

I have heard good and bad comments about the book 'Solaris 9 Administration: A Beginner's Guide' by Paul A. Watters. Would this be a good book to start with.

I'm not looking for a book review; just some insight on how other beginners, such as myself, learned more about the Solaris OS.

Thank you and I appreciate your time to read this post.
