Batch Job takes 13 hours to complete, after DB upgrade to 12102

Dear Experts ,

After upgrade database to 12102, our batch jobs are taking long time.

Before upgrade (11204) one batch job took 3.5 hrs to complete .

After upgrade tt is taking 12 to 13 hrs ..

This is not a multi tenant but standard architecture.

Except upgrade, we did not change anything.

Please provide valuable suggestion ..

Many people are saying, after upgrade to 12c, performance issues are coming - WHY SO ?
