Basically, what is ORACLE?

Hello,

I have taken a course in the school about DBMS in which we used Oracle to develop some SQL scripts. I thought that oracle is just a software to manage data. But, everytime I read about Oracle, I find a new product of it!

Can someone please give me a general image about what Oracle does and what are the software categories that Oracle produces. I need this information for my job.
