bash_profile not found

hi

i am trying to install Database 11g R2 in linux but i cant install does anyone guide me how to install database 11g R2 in linux
and i tried when i typed this command /../.bash_profile so the result is No such file or directory.
please if anyone has full knowledge please share with me thanks in advance.
