Barcode Solution

I am new for barcode Technology , All my applications are in D2k 6i for Chemical Manufacturing Industry, which now i am converting to Oracle 12c forms and reports.. Now I am having a challage , maagment want we should implement Bar Code solution for Stores Inventory with existing Data. Can you help to get the answers for the following Query :

How to design Forms with Barcode facility
How to configure Oracle database fields .
Any documents to understand this technology .
