Barcode in Oracle Report using Barbeque Jar

Harinath ArasuAug 30 2016 — edited Sep 1 2016

Hi,

I'm working on a Oracle report which needs to generate a barcode for a SalesId field. Earlier I was using the sample suppied by Oracle(oracle barcode java bean), but had issues in making it work on the Oracle Linux server 7.0 version due to challenge in enabling DISPLAY.

We decided to use a third party java based jar file to generate the barcode in oracle report. http://barbecue.sourceforge.net/

Please advice if its possible to use the barbecue-1.5-beta1.jar file to generate barcode in a oracle report?

Is there any example that use this barbeque java based barcode in oracle report ? I could not find myself in google search, any suggestions is higly appreciated?

I'm using Oracle Report 11.1.2.2.

Thanks & Regards,

Harinath
