Banner id distinguish

Hi Experts,

I created a banner asset for user in which i used banner id attribute as unique for each banner asset. If user uses same banner id for newly created banner asset then a popup message "same banner id exist" will displayed in UI .

Please suggest how it will be done and if any example present in FirstsiteII then suggest .
