Bad expansion of table name

VERSION: Oracle SQL Developer Extension for VSCode v24.4.1

When I type a table name and hit enter, VS Code puts the correct table name from the selection list but doesn't fully clear what I have typed.

It probably has to do with $ in the name. (ignore the solo ; – I only added them so that the red squiggly doesn't show up)
