Backup using Acronis utility

Hi,

Database: 11gR2
OS: WS2008R2

Database is running in NOARCHIVE mode.
One of the client want to backup the database with Acronis utility.
Should we suspend the database or cleanly shutdown it before making a backup.
I have no experience with this Acronis utility but another same kind of utility used to create problem after restoration of the database.

Any IDEA/EXPERIENCE with Acronis utility
