Backup on NAS

Oracle 10.2.0.4

We are currently using SAN and 3 way mirroring for the backups. We plan to move NAS based storage using NetAapp, I am unable to find any sources as to what different kinds of backup mechanisms that are available? Could someone help me understand and give their point of view? Also if there are some resources that I can read will be helpful.
