B2B integration - pros & cons

843830Dec 8 2004 — edited Dec 19 2004
Hello Folks,

I'd like to ask about the pros. and cons. of integrating B2B using web-service "SOAP", Web-Application "JSP & Servlets that provides HTML interface" and messaging such as "MQ Series".

The requirements we have is to send big chunks of data mainly in XML, sending and receiving binary files, and of-course high level of security.

I think development cost will be lowest for web-services because we will not develop the interactive GUI for the other business entities in case of web-application, and will not handle low data composing in case of MQ-Series. Is that true? However what about performance? Is that good compared to MQ Series? What other concerns should I care about?

I appreciate very much your thoughts or links to useful articles.
Many thanks for your help.

Yours,
Ahmed
