Autopar/Parallel, with Linux

All;

I'm compiling a PIC code with SunStudio in Linux. No matter what I do with -xautopar or -xparallel and "export PARALLEL=4"; I simply never get any performance improvements (besides what SunStudio gives over lesser compilers).

Any ideas?
