472194Aug 24 2010 — edited Aug 26 2010
Hi,

I have found below messages in my database alert log file and confirmed that the auto component of SGA is not being re sized and remains consistent.
The database version is 10.2.0.4.0 and runs in HP-UX B.11.23 ia64 server.

Errors in file /oracle/102/admin/sindb005/bdump/sindb005_cjq0_8361.trc:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 32 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","select job, nvl2(last_date, ...","sql area","tmp")

AUTO SGA: Disabling background sga tuning due to err 604

Is there any way I can enable background SGA tuning again without renouncing the database?

Thanks.
