auto optimizer stats collection tooked long time than the normal time 8 hours and application impact

Normally auto optimizer stats collection will take less than a minute is minimum and max time to complete the job is 27 minutes , but today it tooked more than 7.5 Hours .

Mean while when issue started from 22nd 2:AM ET to 23rd 2:AM ET and we don't have automated snapshots for the AWR.

Today on 23d 2:AM on wards automated snapshots are created successfully .

Can any body help me on this as i want to prepare the documentation, it would be really appreciate if some one can help me on priority !!!!!!!!!
