Audit_trail=os

767881Feb 28 2011 — edited Mar 8 2011
Dear Friends,

To avoid the performance and space pressure on System tablespace, I just directed the audit trail to operating system. After this, I enabled the audit for few users activities i.e. insert,delete,update. But when I check my new audit logs, it is not showing user activities, it is just capturing the sys information.

Could you please let me know why it is not storing user information, and suppose a user fires an insert query and I want to check its detail, how do we know in which log file we will get the information, because there are hundreds of audit log files for an hour and when we enable the audit_trail=os, all the DB audit file is useless.

Please suggest, we are using oracle 11g on Linux platform.

Regards.
