Request your assistance and advise in regards to BPM Archiving and Purging process.
I have read the file attached named LCM Archive & Purge Processes ( Doc ID 2323993.1 ) but in customers’ environments I see something different.
Questions:
1. In page 3 of the document the following line - The archive script extracts data from workflow tasks for reporting purpose, such as approval history, comments, and attachments with a ‘completed’ status – does this mean that the data for all modules can be accessed via reporting?
2. Client is asking to also have access to purchasing and finance BPM data years back as well, how can this be possible?
3. What is process Archive Workflow Tasks used for? Should it be scheduled? Should it be used even if there is an archive and purge process for all instances?
4. Human Capital Management - Approval Notification Archive Real Time subject area can be used to view the archived HCM BPM task data, but I see data there more than 30 days back. Is it just for HCM? Client is asking if data will be available for lawsuits, SOX and GDPR years back?
5. In page 7 I saw that one of the Parameters of the purge script is HWF_ONLY_ARCHIVED=true, does this mean that HCM BPM data is just archived and not deleted?
6. What is the difference between wftask table and wftaskhistory?
