asmlib rpms, what version do I have to download ?

MUSICOVERYFeb 4 2015 — edited Feb 6 2015

Hi all,

I am in the middle of installing oracle 11g r2 standalone with ASM in Oracle Linux 5.

Now, I have downloaded rpm for asmlib in below site.

Oracle ASMLib Downloads for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 AS

but I am a really unfamiliar with linux, I do not know what I am doing now.

the site says that input "uname -r" and select proper rpms to download.

So I input "uname -r" in my linux. and it says

2.6.39-400.215.10.el5uek

And there are lots of rpms list on the list.

Although I have selected some rpms to download, i am not so sure what are the right things to download.

I downloaded 5 rpms in below.

and I firstly installed oracleasm-support and oracleasmlib.

and secondly installed oracleasm-2.6.18-400.el5

and when I tried to install oracleasm-2.6.18.400-el5xen and oracleasm-2.6.18-400.el5debug respectively

it returned with an dependency error saying

2.6.18.400.el5 is required.

I already installed oracleasm-2.6.18-400.el5, but what is wrong with it ??
