ASMCA

742624Dec 22 2009 — edited Dec 23 2009
I'm trying to install and configure 11gr2 on Solaris 10 update 8.

After installing the grid infrastructure components, and configuring a listener via netca, I'm now trying to create my ASM instance.

I run asmca I fill out the screen with passwords, and then select to create my first diskgroup to hold my spfile - when I complete this the ASM creation runs for a few minutes and then it stops with the error message 'ORA-01034: ORACLE not available'
