ASM_HOME is not utilized by oracle

Hi ,

DB VERSION : 10.2.0.5 on  RHEL

I have separate path for ASM_HOME and ORACLE_HOME 

But oracle did not place/use anything into ASM_HOME

$ ps -ef | grep asm
