Hi Everyone!
I know absolutely nothing about Oracle ASM though I've been tasked with a project that will be using this technology. All the posts and documentation I see online refers to using LUNs for this. We're going to be using local storage with a hardware RAID and just create small partitions inside the logical disk presented to the OS (SLES 12 SP1). Does ASM work with this config or should we take a different approach?
Just to give some more information: We have a RAID 10 configuration with a bit over 3TB of storage so GPT is a factor.
