Arial fonts on UNIX for PDF reports

Hello,
I develop reports in Windows, using Oracle Reports 10g. The reports are used in Oracle eBS on UNIX (Solaris). Some reports has PDF output, and I want them to have Arial. For that reason I've used "Configuration Script to add Common Windows Fonts to Unix 9i, 10g R1 and 10g R2 Reports Server [ID 261879.1]".
This works pretty good, but not all characters in Arial Bold are correct. Some special characters, like /()<> has almost no space around them. The Swedish letters ÅÄÖ has this problem also, while ä and - has almost an extra space after them.
Is there a known fix to this problem?
