Are There Any Uncommitted Transactions ?

hi experts,

I come from a SQL Server background so I will have to use terminology that may not apply to the Oracle database world.

1. How can I determine if there are any open/uncommitted transactions in my 10g database? (I ran Select * from V$transaction but it shows 0 records)

2. If there are uncommitted trans..... how can I force them to be committed?
