We are APEX 5.1 and looking to upgrade to 20.2 in near future.
I have report that used to complete within few minutes, but then as data volume increased would take much longer and users received time out error message.
Users used Internet Explorer.
Now the long running report takes 10+ minutes and completes okay when use Edge or Chrome. But if use Internet Explorer receive error message - Can't reach this page - The connection to website was reset. Error Code: INET_E_DOWNLOAD_FAILURE.
Appreciate IE is not support for APEX 20.2, but why is there difference in behaviour with APEX 5.1?
Also as general concept, are long running reports okay? (Appreciate user cannot use session)? Is there some time out limit somewhere or only limited by user patience?
