Are there any known issues with Excel export in 19.2?

Mint-InnitAug 5 2019 — edited Nov 18 2019

Hi, when I export my data (various different queries) in 19.1 (right click on grid, export, excel 2003+ format) the excel files are generated as expected.

However when i do this in my newly installed 19.2 SQLDeveloper, the data are truncated. I've not done enough testing to determine a pattern but one file of 3 rows was truncated to half of the first row, and another of around 10 rows lost the last two..

Now, if it 'didn't work' in 19.2 it would be a bit of a showstopper and I've not seen anyone else mention it on here - so I assume it's something to do with my 19.2 config - any suggestions on where to look to find out why this is happening?

It's an install of 19.2 64bit including SDK on Windows 10, I *did* import settings from 19.1 this time around rather than doing a completely fresh install.

Some observations so far

  1. CSV export works fine on the same data sets in 19.2
  2. EMP/DEPT tables work fine as excel
  3. so, it is maybe data related? But why does it work in 19.1?

I appreciate I've not included any data in this question, it would require a fair bit of redacting which might render it fairly useless if it IS a wierd data issue.

Any thoughts appreciated! I searched the forum and didn't see anything relevant. There's no 'known issues' in the release notes that I can see either.

Cheers.
