Archivelog vs Noarchivelog mode

hi everyone,

I have been reading that it is permissible to run OGG in Noarchivelog mode as long as the REDO logs are big enough to not recycle before EXTRACT completes.

would that mean Supplemental logging would then be disabled and how big would the REDO logs need to be. we currently have 6 logs 102,401 kb each.

has anyone here tried this method, any pro, cons is greatly appreciated.
