Archive log v/s No Archive log for performance

453187Oct 3 2007 — edited May 4 2008
Hi

I have a reporting database in which real time replication is happening and lots of archive is generated i mean couple of gigs in an hour. would it be beneficial if I put my DB in No archive log mode will I gain any performance or not. I am not concerned of the recovery aspects. is there any way to stop the logging for any type of DML other than insert with the append hint.

Any advice will be appreciated.
