archive location filled

Hi,

I am asked a question after filled the archive log location and also db is hang.how do you approach that?

I said that change the archive log destination path from d drive to e drive and copy the old files from d drive to some other place or delete the unneccessary archive log files .

Is it correct?
is there any best approach for that?
