Hello All ,

I am a Solaris System Administrator and recently we got a incident to investigate the arc file corruption.

DBA reports that they are seeing archive log corruption frequently once in day, once in two days. They are getting the below error

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03009: failure of delete command on ORA_DISK_1 channel at 05/28/2010 01:04:34
ORA-19587: error occurred reading 512 bytes at block number 1
ORA-27091: unable to queue I/O
ORA-27072: File I/O error

We have investigated file system which oracle write the archive log from Solaris OS level, but we did not find any issues with file system.

But DBA stands storngly it OS file system issues. Could you please advice how to proceed on this.

Note: The oracle write the archive log in two locations (file system) simuntaneously, but DBA seeing archive log corruption one of the file system. We compared the two file system, but we did not find any differences.

Regards,
Raj.
