Applications Menu is Empty on Oracle Linux

After installing Oracle Linux (installed all packages/modules) the Applications menu does not seem to work properly. I have no clue how to fix this. Does anyone know how to solve this? I uploaded a screen shot here http://orangewise.blogspot.com/2006/11/applications-menu-is-empty-on-oracle.html
