API for Java and Excel ?

Hi all,

Can some one kindly suggest a good api for Java/Excel that can be used for fetching the data from the Database and populating the excelsheet with desired format
I have seen a few on google but cannot be sure of which to use....!
So if some one has some experience on the same please do share that as well.
