APEX Plugin static files unreachable (404 error) from ORDS

krisscoApr 11 2019 — edited Apr 11 2019

This issue is about plugins, or more specifically, about ORDS returning a 404 error "The request could not be mapped to any database" for static files that have been uploaded for a plugin I'm developing.

Versions:

  • ORDS 19.1
  • APEX 19.1
  • Oracle XE 11gXE

Configuration:

  • ORDS is running in standalone.
  • I have static APEX resources being served from Oracle's CDN.
  • Compatibility Mode (Application properties) is set to 19.1.
  • Application # is 401
  • The schema alias in ORDS Schema Attributes (SQL Workshop / FESTful Services / ORDS Restful Services / Configure) is set to "mytest" for this example.

Here's a full URL, which produces the above error:

http://apex.myhostname.com/ords/mytest/r/401/files/plugin/59381501670517758/v948/filename.js

I used the "Upload File" button within the Plug-in maintenance page. I chose to leave "Directory" blank.

Within the "File URLs to Load" I have specified #PLUGIN_FILES#filename.js

I then included my plugin in an APEX page.

It appears that #PLUGIN_FILES# is being resolved to "/ords/mytest/r/401/files/plugin/59381501670517758/v948/" but that is not locatable by ORDS. I've read the docs carefully though I may be missing a step or permission somewhere.

I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!
