APEX

Trying to get an RTF Report Layout designed using the Template Builder Word plug-in to work. Report is based on simple query: SELECT deptno, dname, loc FROM dept.
Generic report layout works fine and returns the data in the dept table. But when saving XML or XSD and using BI Publisher Word Plug-in to create an RTF file, the Test Report retuns 0 bytes.

Steps taken:
1. login to apex.oraclecorp.com
2. Select "Sample Application"
3. select Shared components
4. select "Report Queries"
5. select CREATE
6. Report query name = TESTDEPTQ
7. Output format = PDF
8. NEXT
9. select "DEPT"."DEPTNO" as "DEPTNO",
"DEPT"."DNAME" as "DNAME",
"DEPT"."LOC" as "LOC"
from "DEPT" "DEPT"
10. NEXT
11. XML Schema + Download
12. save as "testdeptq.xsd"
13. Open Word 2007 and File + New
14. Select BI Publisher
15. Load Data: XML Schema testdeptq.xsd
16. "Loaded Successful"
17. Table Wizard
18. Table
19. Document/region/rowset/row
20. Select all 3 columns deptno, dname, loc
21. NEXT
22. NEXT (group)
23. FINISH
24. now have 3 fields showing in between F and E
25. Save As testdeptq.rtf
26. exit WORD
27. Return to APEX "upload report la9yout" page
28. enter "testdeptq.rtf" for Report Layout File
29. NEXT
30. Create Shared Query URL: f?p=&APP_ID.:0:&SESSION.:PRINT_REPORT=TESTDEPTQ
31. click Test Report
32. click save to save testdeptq.pdf
33. testdeptq.pdf has 0 bytes (does the same with output=HTML)

Issue had to do with using BI Publisher Desktop 11g with BI Publisher Server 10g on APEX. Using BI Publisher Desktop 10g which matched the server version loaded on APEX worked fine.
