Apex (on prem or cloud) connectivity to Essbase or Planning (on prem or cloud)

Dears,
I already posted on APEX board 2 months ago without success.
I would like to investigate APEX connectivity toward Essbase, I understood that it could be done through RESTAPI but I could not succeed in connecting. Any help or further guidance appreciated. Thank you.
