APEX Memory Usage

635454Oct 13 2010 — edited Oct 14 2010
Hi,

1.
I have recently installed Apex 4.0 in a stand alone database and configured 10.1.2 ORacle HTTP Server (Which came with 10.1.2 discoverer installation) to serve the APEX requests by creating respective DAD entry in DADS.CONF file.

Now, i would like mesure the performance overhead on Oracle HTTP Servver because of Apex.

Could you please let me know some metrics / areas which I should check to measure / understand the impact of Apex on Oracle HTTP Server (which was already serving discoverer sessions).

2. Does Apex 4.0 uses JVM ? I understand that all the operations happen in the database. But it needs memory to stream the results from database to browser. Does that come from JVM ?

Thanks
Suneel
