APEX maps -force position and zoom to refresh

Hi:

I am using Oracle APEX maps to visualize aircraft trajectories. In a number of applications I haven't had any issue with selecting from a drop-down of flights and then watching APEX zoom and center to the trajectory anywhere in the world. I never actively did anything to set this up, jus taking the default “Initial position and zoom” option in the attributes section of the map region.

I rectly built a similar application but for some reason the zoom and center feature is inconsistent. How do I force it to refresh every time the user selects from a drop-down? Is there a dynamic action I can employ? Thank you.

Hi, Bill. This blog article has a downloadable sample with a tiny dynamic action plug-in that might fit your requirement here. I use it everytime I demo APEX to show off cool, synchronized smart filtered data visualized at the same time on an automatically centered-and-zoomed map.
