APEX_MAIL with third party SMTP setup

Hi Team,

We are trying to configure emails in Autonomous Database with APEX workload to send emails from APEX applications using APEX_MAIL package. But, we want to use third party / internal SMTP server instead of the Oracle Cloud SMTP server to make it internal to the clients.

Oracle support says, third party SMTP servers are not supported options, but that does not mean it cannot be done.

We are following below steps to set this up, but the emails are not getting released from mail queue:

  1. Setup approved sender email address in OCI
  2. Configured email setups in APEX Admin with internal relay SMTP server with open credentials.
  3. Send email using APEX_MAIL

Any help on how to troubleshoot or any guidance would be much appreciated.
