APEX is not accessible in INTRANET

guruparanDec 4 2009 — edited Jan 7 2010
Hi,

I installed Apex 3.2 on Oracle 10g XE, Windows XP. I can access it through localhost:8080/apex URL. But when I try to access it using the IP http://111.222.333.444:8080/apex (from my system as well as from intranet), I get page cannot be displayed error. The error message says.

<pre>A communication error occurred: "Connection refused"</pre>

But still the system is accessible as localhost. The strange thing is in intranet http://111.222.333.444:8080/ is accessible. And http://host:8080/apex is not.

I have already faced this issue and corrected it with the solution suggested in this post !http://forums.oracle.com/forums/images/post-16x16.gif! . It worked for me. After that I got ORA-00018: maximum number of sessions exceeded (Oracle XE running out of processes). I corrected it with the [suggestions from here|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/soa/soasuite/collateral/faq.html]. I could be able to access the DB but ever since after that, I could not access APEX in INTRANET.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Regards
Guru
