Apex installation on one database with two instances

Happy New Year to everyone!!

Sorry, I am still a newbie for Database and Apex. How to tell which instance of database for the Apex during installation? My situation is in the followings:
1) One server with 11g database has two instances: A (default) and B (for testing environment). Instance A and B are identical. But, they are not clone. I need to use instance B to test Apex
2) When I installed Apex, Apex was installed associated with instance A, not instance B.
3) How to configure Apex for instance B instead of A?
4) Our Apex is configured and installed in DB confgure using PL/SQL gateway.

Please advise. Do I need a separate server with different database 11g for instance B?
