APEX - how to save information in a field display as Browse..

Hello,

I have an item "IMAGE" defines as a BLOB to store image. When the page renders with validation error message, the information in the "IMAGE" item is blanked out. how do I save that information so the user does not have to browse for the link again.

IMAGE: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Pictures\Sample Pictures\Water lilies.jpg ; Browse.....
