APEX - Exporting multiple Reports / Preserving leading zeros while exporting to Excel

MMRJul 13 2016 — edited Jul 21 2016

Hi,

My Company is looking to replace Discoverer with APEX. We are planning to either use 'Data Report' Packaged Application or create our own custom Reports. Our users use Discoverer a lot and most of the times they run the Reports and export the data to excel. I have a few questions.

1-How can I preserve the leading zeros in the data when exporting data out of APEX. I tried downloading the Reports in .csv format but when I open the file in Excel the leading zeros are truncated.

2-I am not seeing the download format Excel available in our APEX Instance where as it is available if I go to my work space on apex.oracle.com. Do we need to install something?

3-How can I export multiple Reports at once through a button click. Currently we have more than one sheets in Discoverer Workbook and they can be exported to Excel all together. Is it possible in APEX.

I tried searching the Community and found some hits on Exporting multiple Reports by using a single button click but when I go to the url referenced in the posts the page is not displaying and I am getting the error jtablesession::Store Failed, DB function failed with error number 145. The url's refer to apex-plugins.com.

Thanks you so much.
