Greetings, everyone!
I am using APEX 23.2.6 and my problem occurs in any of our environments. The issue is that I am unable to customize the “No Data Found” message for APEX Charts using HTML tags but I can successfully modify the same message for APEX Reports (Interactive) using HTML tags. The Charts being used are Pie and Combination.
For Reports, I go to the Attributes and use "<b>No Data Found</b>" in the Messages > When No Data Found option box to successfully make the message bold. NOTE: See bottom box in attached image.
For Charts, using the same method (<b>No Data Found</b>) in the same location (Attributes > Messages > When No Data Found option box) does not work. Instead, the HTML tags become visible and no effect is made on the message. NOTE: See top box in attached image.
I have already tried reaching out to Jayson Hanes at Oracle and his suggestion was to use the Attributes > Messages > When No Data Found option box but, as I mentioned above, that isn't working for me with APEX Charts.
What is the correct solution to customize the No Data Found message for Charts? I would have thought the same method would work across all components but that apparently isn't the case. I don't know if this is a design flaw or if my approach is wrong but any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if there is any information I have left out that may be needed to assist with this post.
The reason for doing this is to make the font larger and easier to see/read when there is no data to be displayed. As you can see in the image below, the No Data Found message in the top box is pretty small.
